Two-Phase Blood Panel

₹3,900

A complete female biology picture.

Female hormonal markers are only meaningful when collected in the correct phase of the menstrual cycle. The Biology By Design women's panel is split across two phases to give you an accurate picture of both your comprehensive markers and your hormonal cycle: something a single blood draw can never achieve.

Lab partner: Thyrocare. Home collection, twice.

Price

₹3,900

Two-phase collection. Both draws included. Home collection both times.

Phase one

Follicular phase

Days 3 to 6 of your cycle, 3 to 6 days after the first day of your period. All comprehensive markers collected here.

Phase two

Luteal phase

Approximately 7 days after ovulation, or 7 days before your expected period. Estrogen and progesterone collected here.

Lab partner

Thyrocare

Home collection both times. We coordinate the timing with you.

Why two phases: one draw is not enough

Estrogen and progesterone fluctuate dramatically across the menstrual cycle. A single blood draw, regardless of timing, gives you a number with no context. The follicular phase draw establishes your comprehensive biological baseline. The luteal phase draw captures your hormonal peak, the moment when estrogen and progesterone are at their most clinically meaningful levels. Together, they tell a story that neither can tell alone.

Phase breakdown

Phase one, follicular

Days 3 to 6 of your cycle

3 to 6 days after the first day of your period. This is when hormones are at their baseline, the cleanest window for comprehensive marker collection.

Collected here

  • All thyroid markers
  • All metabolic & insulin markers
  • All inflammatory markers
  • All cardiovascular markers
  • All micronutrient markers
  • All longevity markers
  • FSH, LH, testosterone, DHEAS, prolactin

Phase two, luteal

About 7 days before your period

Approximately 7 days after ovulation, or 7 days before your expected period date. This is when progesterone peaks and estrogen is at its secondary peak.

Collected here

  • Estradiol (E2)
  • Progesterone
  • Estrogen-progesterone ratio

Testing progesterone outside the luteal phase almost always returns a falsely low result. This timing is non-negotiable for accurate interpretation.

Preparation: same rules, both draws

12-hour fast

No food or caloric drinks for 12 hours before each collection. Both draws require fasting. Water is fine.

Supplements and medication

Avoid all supplements for 48 hours before each draw. For medications, pause for 48 hours only if your doctor permits. Never stop medication without guidance.

No intensive exercise

Avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours before each collection. Both draws follow this rule.

Morning collection

Both draws within 90 minutes of waking. Morning timing is critical for accurate cortisol, TSH, and hormonal readings.

Track your cycle

Know your cycle length and the first day of your last period. Share this with the BbD team when booking, we will help you identify the correct collection window.

What to share

Note any current medications, supplements, contraceptives, or recent illness. Hormonal contraceptives significantly affect several markers, share this upfront.
